Indian compliance.
On autopilot.
Lawzer reads each entity's legal form, turnover and registrations, then generates every ROC, GST, TDS, income-tax and labour obligation on the right statutory date — assigned to the right professional, reminded on schedule, and evidenced in one audit trail.
14-day trial, no card. The statutory catalogue is included on every plan, not sold as an add-on.
A checklist you typed out yourself is not a compliance system
Most practices run on a spreadsheet somebody built in April and nobody has re-read since. It does not know that this entity crossed ₹5 crore, that professional tax is levied in Maharashtra but not in the next state, or that AOC-4 moves the moment the AGM date does. Lawzer derives the calendar from the statute and the entity master instead, so the dates come out of the rulebook rather than out of memory.
- 106 statutory rules modelled
- 8 legal forms, from Pvt Ltd to trust
- 6 automation passes nightly
What it covers
Every rule carries its statutory reference, its applicability thresholds, its due-date logic, its penalty basis and a default owner. Nothing is a free-text checklist item.
ROC & Companies Act
Annual filings, auditor appointment, director KYC, deposits, significant beneficial owners, allotments and the event-based forms — with section 403 additional-fee modelling on anything late.
Goods & Services Tax
Monthly and QRMP return cycles, composition statements, the annual return and reconciliation, ITC matching against GSTR-2B, and job-work returns.
Income tax & TDS
Monthly TDS deposits, the quarterly 24Q/26Q/27Q/27EQ statements, certificates, advance-tax instalments, tax audit, returns and transfer pricing.
Labour & payroll
Provident fund ECR, ESI contributions, state professional tax, labour welfare fund, the POSH annual report, bonus returns and shops-act renewals.
FEMA & cross-border
The annual FLA return, FC-GPR on foreign allotments and APR on overseas investment, with late-submission fee tracking.
Governance calendar
Board and general meetings with their notice and minutes deadlines, statutory registers, director disclosures and secretarial audit.
Six passes, every night
Lawzer does not ask you to build the calendar. It works the calendar out, then keeps it honest without being asked again.
- 01
Applicability
Legal form, turnover, paid-up capital, headcount, state and each registration flag decide which statutes bind this entity — and the reason is recorded in plain English.
- 02
Calendar expansion
Every period, on the correct statutory date, across a rolling horizon.
- 03
Ownership
Each task routes to the professional who actually owns it.
- 04
Reminders
A ladder rather than a single nudge on the due date.
- 05
Escalation & exposure
Late fees accrue per statute — per-day, slabbed, capped or interest-bearing — so a lapse prices itself.
- 06
Health scoring
One number a board can read without a covering note.
Built to be checked, not believed
Compliance software that cannot show its working is asking an officer to stake personal liability on a black box. These are visible in the application itself, not just on this page.
Every rule shows its statute
All 106 catalogue entries carry the section, rule or notification they come from. You are never asked to take a due date on trust — the reference is on the rule, and you can go and read it.
Every decision shows its reason
"Applies — turnover above ₹5.00 Cr." "Off — no foreign investment on record." When a statute is switched on or off for an entity, the engine says why. No silent determinations.
A professional override survives
If a company secretary decides a rule does not apply, or moves a working date after an MCA extension, the nightly pass leaves that decision alone. The statutory date stays on record and exposure is still computed from it.
The penalty basis is shown
Per-day fees, the section 403 slabs, the section 47 GST caps, section 201(1A) interest — the working sits next to the figure, and it is labelled a planning estimate.
The audit trail is append-only
Every state change, reassignment, override, upload and automation pass records who did it and when. Nothing in the application edits or deletes an audit row, which is the only reason it is worth anything in a secretarial audit.
No generated legal opinions
The contract-vetting module is a clause checklist and a professional's own verdicts. Your agreements are not sent to a language model, and the software does not invent an opinion it cannot stand behind.
Four vantage points, one set of records
Roles here are not just permissions. They change what gets assigned, who is reminded, and which numbers lead the dashboard.
- CS
Company secretary
AOC-4, MGT-7 and ADT-1 recalculated the moment an AGM date changes, plus the 120-day board-meeting gap and the register reviews.
- CA
Accountant
The GST, TDS and income-tax cycle, with challans and acknowledgements filed against the period they prove.
- Owner
Business owner
What is overdue, what it would cost, and who is holding it — without reading a form number.
- Audit
Auditor
Read-only access to the evidence vault and the audit trail. Nothing an auditor sees can be edited by an auditor.
Costs less than a single late-filing penalty
One missed AOC-4 at ₹100 a day for a quarter is ₹9,000, and that is before officer liability. Every plan includes the full statutory catalogue. Prices exclude GST.

Fair questions
Put your first entity in and see the calendar it generates.
Fourteen days, no card. If the dates it produces do not match what your company secretary would have written down, we would genuinely like to hear about it.
