Cookie Policy
Every cookie and browser-storage key this website sets, what it does, how long it lasts, and which of them you can refuse.
Drafted against
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — sections 5 and 6
- Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 — rule 3(1)(a)
The short version
This website sets no cookies at all. There is no advertising, no analytics, no pixel, no tag manager and no third-party tracker on mallahsoftware.com. We are not being clever about it — the site is a set of static pages and it does not need them.
One key, in your browser’s own storage, never sent to us:
Interface preference — remembers a display choice you made on the page, such as an expanded section. Stored in localStorage, stays until you clear your browser data, readable only by this site, and never transmitted anywhere. If you block it, nothing about the site changes.
What we do not set
Listing the absences is more useful than listing the one thing we do:
- No Google Analytics, or any other analytics product.
- No advertising or retargeting cookies, and no conversion pixels.
- No social media embeds that phone home.
- No session cookie, because there is nothing to log into here.
- No cross-site identifier, and nothing that follows you to another website.
Third parties this page does talk to
Two, and both are worth knowing about even though neither sets a cookie for us.
| Who | Why | What they see |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts | The typefaces this site is set in are loaded from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com | Your IP address and browser, as with any request for a file. No cookie is set by the font request. |
| Our hosting provider | Serves the pages | A server log entry: IP address, user agent, the page requested and the time. Kept 180 days, as the CERT-In Directions of 28 April 2022 require. |
If you would rather not load fonts from Google, a content blocker will stop it and the site will fall back to your system typeface. It will look plainer and work identically.
Our products are a separate question
CertNotify, Regulane, Lawzer and MADBOT are applications you log into, so they do set a session cookie — you cannot stay signed in without one. Each product publishes its own cookie policy covering what it sets, and this page does not speak for them.
How to clear it
Every browser lets you clear site data for a single site, usually from the padlock or the address-bar menu. Doing that on this site removes the one preference key and nothing else, because there is nothing else.
